LO 3.A.1: Explain the core American beliefs, values, and norms that define the relationship between citizens and government and citizens with each other.

Uses Individualism, Free Enterprise, Equal Opportunity, and Rule of Law. Individualism is where American belief is focused on the independence of the individual, Equal Opportunity is where it is usually based off merit of those who have earned such honors and whether or not everyone has earned that opportunity or not. Free Enterprise is a belief that enables freedom of choice and operation on a citizens own terms. Rule of law is what is right and wrong in terms of the law.

LO 4.D.2: Analyze the roles that individual choice and state laws play in voter turnout in elections.

Individual choice plays a huge part in voter turn out because it is mainly up to that individual to vote or not. No one can force him/her to vote so usually it is a lack of motivation that causes this low voter turnout. State laws cannot force a person to vote but they can help to make voting more accessable.

LO 3.A.2: Evaluate the influence of various factors in political attitudes and socialization.

Many factors include Media, Family, Peers, and School. They can be direct influences as well as indirect from the pledge of allegiance to a family talking at the dinner table. 

LO 4.D.1: Summarize the voting rights protections in the Constitution and in legislation.

Congress passed the 15th amendment in 1869 sllowing black men to vote, then in 1919 woman were granted the right to vote under the 19th amendment, and then in 1971, th 26th amendment droped the voting age to 18.

LO 4.D.4: Explain the factors that influence voter choices.

Factors that influence voter choice inclue age, education, ethnicity, gender, religion, occupation, or party identification. Most usually vote for the candidate with the height education, greater, pay, same political party, and older age.

LO 4.A.1: Evaluate the impact that public opinion and scientific polling have on elections and policy debates.

Public opinion influences elections by testing the outcome of a situation and seeing if the public were to favor or dislike that judgement/candidate. Same with Scientific polling but for policy making. 

LO 4.D.3: Analyze U.S. voter turnout and compare it with that in other democracies. 

The United States has the lowest voter turnout rate according to Huffington Post. Belgium had the highest at 93% with U.S. at 38%

LO 3.C.2: Compare how political ideologies vary with regard to the role of government in addressing social issues.

Addressing social issues, most Republicans tend to be more traditional and less lenient when it comes to new things and policies while Democrats are more adventurous/ open-minded to new ideas. For example, the concept of the rights to #!!##!!##!!# Marriage has been brought up and while most Republicans disagree with the concept, Democrats seem to be more open to the idea. 

LO 3.A.3:  Analyze the relationship between 21st century globalization and American political, social and cultural values.

Because of America's great diversity of cultures, the range of political values have to branch out as well. In the 21st century globalization tends to be more wide spead but does lead to a lot of butting of heads with different opinions.

LO 3.C.1: Compare how political ideologies vary on the role of government in regulating the marketplace.

Most liberals don't mind if the government has regulation over the marketplace while conservatives prefer to have less government regulation over the marketplace and have control over their own money. 

LO 3.B.1: Analyze how political culture influences the formation, goals, and implementation of public policy.

Public policy is influenced by political culture in many ways. Considering how the public is interested in news plays a big part in forming and implementing political culture. Like with advancement in media, it is important to keep up, so that the culture around can keep up with the policies used around it. 

LO 4.D.5: Compare different models of voting behavior.

Voting behavior is whether you vote by party identification or peer influence. What ever influences your individulal vote.
