Final Question |
Describe who Korinna found hiding in her bedroom wall?
Korinna finds that there are Jews living behind the bedroom. They are a lady named Sophie, and her curly-haired 5- year- old daughter. They are hiding there in the dark room with little space, and her parents explain that a lot of people don’t have even that much space. Their father and other 14-year-old daughter are hiding somewhere else.
Describe the difference between Korinna’s and her parents’ feelings about the changes going on in Germany
Korinna thinks that Hitler is a great person and she hates the Jews. She also thinks the world would be better of without them, and they are the cause of all Germany’s problems. I think her parents think that Hitler is a really bad person and they care about the Jews. They think that he is not so great and the war is not that great either. They don’t agree with her.
After being scolded by the leader for not saluting fast enough, Korinna questions the group. Look at the questions she asks on page 86. Why are these questions important to the novel?
Because she is starting to doubt what she is supposed to do, because she feels like she doesnt belong there and she does not want to be the same as everyone else. She is starting to think and question weather the fuher and the jungmadel leaders are wrong about being the same.
