George Washington said "It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any nation of the foreign world-in my opinion, it is unnecessary and would be unwise to extend them." Based on this excerpt, which action would President Washington disagree with? Outlawing slavery, establishing public schools, joining the North Atlantic Treaty or extending the nation's borders in the Pacific?
