These books provide you with facts and information and help you learn more about real things.  If you wanted to learn about science fair projects, you would choose this type of nonfiction book.

Collection of words that express an emotion or idea.  These can be humorous, serious, or lyrical.

The One and Only Ivan is this type of story

The City of Ember, The Giver, and The Hunger Games are these types of stories. Hint...they are set in the future.

Author must research the time period thoroughly for facts and information.  This fiction story usually takes place during a time of war or conflict in the past.

These stories keep you on the edge of your seat.  They are suspensful.
