The Nucleus holds the DNA that tells the Ribosomes to create proteins by making long chains of amino acids.  These proteins are then sent and packaged on the Endoplasmic Reticulum through thier folded membranes to the Gogli Complex.  At the Golgi Complex, they are modified to perfomr different jobs and either sent to other parts of the cell or out of the cell.

Animals are mobile and can get to their water resource while plants cannot move from where they are planted and must rely of rainfall.

The high concentration of food coloring was in the drop of food coloring.  After it was placed int he water, it moved throughout all of the water, eventually evenly distributed throughout the whole beaker.

How is a raft floating down a river like a particle/molecule going through passive transport?

 

 

It is like a raft floating down a river because the raft is being pushed by the current and does not require any added or extra energy in order to go on its path.

How is a person canoeing upriver like a molecule/particle going through active transport?

 

 

 

A particle that is going through Active Transport is going against the gradient or current because it is moving from an area of low concentratio to an area of high concentration.  The gradient or curent want to puch it backwards so the molecule needs extra energy (oars pushing the water) to get across the membrane.

What is this process called and what is happeneing?

 

 

 

This is exocytosis.  The cell is removing waste from the cell by wrapping the large partice in a vesicle.  The vesicle adheres to the cell membrane and the cell membrane opens up and the particle leave the cell.

This is endocytosis,a type of active transport and the cell is bringing in a large particle into the cell.  The cell memebrane wraps around the particle and brings it in by forming a vescilce around the particle.
